Economic Policy Manager

Margaret Lacy is the Economic Policy Manager for Georgia REALTORS®, taking charge of economic development issues and policy matters for the association since December 2016. Margaret serves as the key liaison to the Economic Development Advisory Council, Commercial Committee, and Housing Opportunity Committee, further cementing her status as a prominent figure in shaping economic policies. Her passion for economic progress and community improvement drives her commitment to charting a prosperous future for Georgia’s economic landscape.

Beyond her primary role, Margaret actively serves on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board, the UGA Center for Housing and Community Research Board, and is a dedicated member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association. Her professional background includes prior work in the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development and leading a statewide veterans workforce development initiative at the Georgia Department of Economic Development. With an unwavering commitment to shaping a prosperous future for Georgia’s economic landscape, Margaret Lacy continues to inspire and lead with a vision for an even brighter tomorrow.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Presbyterian College. Outside of her professional life, Margaret cherishes her time spent with her husband, Brett, and two daughters, Miller and Annie. When time allows, she pursues the hobby of needlepoint.
