Code of Ethics – REALTOR® Membership Requirement

REALTORS® (members of the National Association of REALTORS®) are required to complete ethics training of not less than 2 hours, 30 minutes of instructional time within specific cycles. Effective January 1, 2017, each cycle will be a two-year cycleThe current cycle ends December 31, 2018. 

Code of Ethics training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. Training may be completed through REALTOR® associations or through another method, such as home study, correspondence, classroom courses, or online courses.

GAR offers courses approved for both the membership requirement and Georgia continuing education (CE) credit.

Local boards / associations are responsible for the administration and enforcement of the Code of Ethics training requirement. So, if you are not sure if you have met the requirement for the current cycle, contact your local.
