Timeline For 2025 Committee/ Leadership Appointments

| February 29, 2025 | Documents on the application process for 2025 GAR Officers, Regional Directors, and NAR Directors At-Large are open at https://garealtor.com/members/member-resources/commonly-used-documents/.
Requirements of each position are listed under the “Duties and Responsibilities” of each position as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual found under Tab 2.

| April 15, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. | DEADLINE: Applications for 2025 GAR Officers, Regional Directors, or NAR Directors At-Large close.

| April 15, 2025 | The 2026 committee application process opens at https://garealtor.com/members/committees/committee-application/. Members submit an application for up to five committees. Please ensure your member profile has all the correct information (i.e. address, email, phone number).

| May 13, 2025
|
The GAR Credentials, Campaign & Rules Committee meets to review applications and approve those applications that meet the required criteria to run for the elected office sought.
The list of eligible candidates to run for office will be posted on garealtor.com under News & Announcements by June 10, and be featured in the Fall issue of Georgia REALTOR® magazine, which will be published online in early August.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The GAR Board of Directors will meet during the Annual Conference & Expo, and, among other tasks, will approve nominations for 2026 GAR leadership – officers, regional directors, and NAR directors – and elect candidates that were in contested positions.

ANNOUNCEMENT: 2026 committee appointments are announced via email.

| October 19-21, 2025 | EVENT: GAR Leadership retreat for 2026 officers and regional directors.
|
| December 9, 2025 | EVENT: GAR Leadership Summit for 2026 committee chairs and vice chairs, officers, and regional directors.
