As the Member Experience Deputy Director for Georgia REALTORS®, Margaret Lacy leads the planning and execution of the association’s signature events and conferences, ensuring members have meaningful opportunities to connect, learn, and grow. Drawing on her years of experience in leadership and program development, she brings a strategic and thoughtful approach to creating engaging experiences that strengthen member value across the state. Margaret has been with GAR since 2016, previously serving as the staff lead for the association’s economic development initiatives and policy committees. In that role, she worked closely with the Economic Development Advisory Council, Commercial Committee, and Housing Opportunity Committee, helping shape initiatives that supported economic progress and housing opportunities in Georgia.

Beyond GAR, Margaret serves on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board and the UGA Center for Housing and Community Research Board, and she is an active member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association. Her earlier career includes roles in the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development and the Georgia Department of Economic Development, where she led a statewide veterans workforce initiative.

Margaret holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Presbyterian College. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brett, and their three daughters, Miller, Annie, and Mary Frances — and when time allows, she loves to unwind with her favorite hobby, needlepoint.
